Born on 11 Oct. 1940, Shri Tulsidas
Bandyopadhyay is a Post Graduate and has done CAIIB also.
He served as Lecturer in Govt.
College under the West Bengal Govt. Education Service. He joined
RBI in Sept. 1965. During 1991-93 he worked in Commercial and
Overseas Branches of SBI in Mumbai as DGM under the RBI Exchange
of Officers Programme. At RBI he served with Deptt. of Banking Operations and Development, as faculty member at RBI Staff College, Dept. Of Non Banking Supervision and was closely associated as member secretary with a number of Working/ Expert groups appointed by Reserve Bank of India. He was deputed by RBI for familiarization with non banking supervision in several Central Banks organizations of the World.
He served as RBI Nominee Director
on the Board of Punjab National Bank and contributed
substantially as member of the Audit Committee in improving the
Banks’ Internal Control Systems.
In 1998 he was appointed as
Executive Director (CVO) of IDBI by the Govt. of India. He
retired from the post of Chief General Manager of RBI in Oct.
2000.
