Today in a function in Vigyan Bhavan at New Delhi, Shri P.K.Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of United Bank of India receives two Best Bank Awards from Shri Mahabir Prasad, Hon’ble minister of MSME, Govt. of India and Sh. Santosh Bagrodia, Chairman of the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry; for excellent performance under Rural Employment Guarantee Program (REGP) in Eastern and North Eastern Zones.
It is a recognition given to United Bank of India being a leading Bank having its Branch Network spread all over the country with strong presence with 1153 branches in the Eastern and North eastern parts where the Bank has made a steady growth of advance to KVI sector, particularly in Micro & Small Units.
The Bank, being a convener of State Level Bankers’ Committee in West Bengal & Tripura, is playing a crucial role in economic upliftment of Eastern & North-Eastern States.
