Various schemes under Agriculture

  1. Eligibility : - This loan is granted to persons for agricultural purposes i.e. Raising Crops, purchase of agricultural implements, purchase of Farm machinery development of irrigation potential, creation of storage facilities purchase and development of land etc.
     

  2. Margin money :

a) Corp Loan and other short term loans

i) upto Rs. 50000/-

No margin
ii) over Rs. 50000/- 15% to 25% (depending on purpose and quantum of loan)
b) Term loans
i) upto Rs. 50000/- No margin
ii) over Rs. 50000/- 15% to 25% (depending on purpose
and quantum of loan subject to
NABARD's requirement)

Where subsidy is available, the same should be treated as margin and no faurther margin money should be stipulated.

Following are the various schemes in vogue in the Bank for providing loans and advances to agriculture

1) Kisan Credit Card

  • Adequate and timely support to the farmers to undertake agriculture, horticulture & other allied activities like poultry, dairy, fishery etc.
     

  • It also includes purchase of seeds, fertilizer pesticides. Agriculture, machineries etc. for raising crops.
     

  • For consumption purpose loans to be provided to KCC holders for consumption purpose and also provide loans for repayment of loans to non -institutional lenders
     

  • The minimum eligibility of loans under the scheme is Rs. 1000/- and maximum is Rs. 10 lakh.
     

  • However proposals above Rs. 10 lakh will be disposed of under the D.P. of the General Manager in charge of Priority Sector.
     

  • Crop insurance scheme under NAIS
     

  • Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (PAIS

2) United Krishi Sahayak Yojana

Eligibility :-

In Rural & Semi urban even outside service area - No defaulter Farmer in semi urban area having 2.5 acres irrigated land for tractor and 1.5 acre land faor power tiller.

In Rural area - having driving licence faor tractor, minimum 2 acres irrigated land and 0.5 acre for power tiller.

  • Providing self employment to rural youth for taking up custom hiring as well as tillage of his own land and duly recommended by BDO/DRDA/DRDC/Panchayat and Anchal Pradhan.
     

  • No processing charge to be levied.

3) United Krishi Laghu Paribahan Yojana

  • Farmers having own land or no land but having driving licence
     

  • Mamimum loan amount upto Rs. 1.00 lac.
     

  • Financial assistance to the farmers for three wheelers for using transport equipment for carrying agriculture inputs and farm produces for all rural & semi urban areas.
     

  • 1% processing fee to be levied against sanctioned loan amount.

4. Gramin Bhandaran Yojna

  • Creation of scientific storage capacity with allied facilities in rural areas to meet the storage need of farmers for farm produce, consumer articles and agricultural inputs.
     

  • To improve their marketability and to avoid distress sale.
     

  • Minimum storage capacity of the godown to be of 100 MT and maximum 10000 MT.

5. Purchase of land for Agriculture Purpose

  • To provide credit to small & marginal farmers including share croppers (Bargadars) and tenant farmers for purchase of land for agriculture & Allied activities and also to purchase fallow and waste land for increasing agricultural production vis a vis increase in income of the loanee farmers, share croppers and tenant farmers.
     

  • Farmers are allowed to purchase land preferably within the service area of the branch or situated at a reasonable distance.
     

  • In case the applicant is over 50 years of age, a co-loanee is to be taken.
     

  • Under the scheme at least 10% for financing wwomen. Specially women in distress. Widows. SHG members etc to be covered.
     

  • Maximum loan limit will be Rs. 2.00 lacs including value of stamp duty registration charges for sale/mortgage deed and other land development expenses.
     

  • Finance can be made for purchase of land upto 5 acres subject to eligibility of borrowers
     

  • Borrowers/Farmers under this scheme are also eligible for need-based loans for raising crops (preferably through KCC) and medium term loan faor patital inputs

6. United Bhumihin Kisan Credit Card (UBKCC)

  • Landless tenant farmers, oral lessees, bargadars & share croppers are eligible to avail working capital assistance for agriculture and allied activities like dairy, poultry,fishery, piggery,duckery, horticulture nursery, ornamental fishery, vegetable orchard and bee keeping etc.
     

  • Also to provide production credit coupled with the provision of consumption credit and credit for liquidation of loan availed from informal sectors.
     

  • Contract formers under tie-ups with sugarcane, potato, vegetables fruits and horticultural crops, processing units and other processing units in allied agricultural activities are eligible for this scheme.
     

  • Any individual, SHG/Joint Liability Group of the above category of farmers are eligible for the scheme.
     

  • No margin money
     

  • No processing charge.
     

  • Revolving cash credit faor crop loan to be reviewed annually.
     

  • May avail consumption loan (within the total cash credit limit).
     

  • Within the total cash credit limit loan for investment credit and loan for repayment of informal sector indebtness may be available.
     

  • No drawal under cash credit will remain outstanding for more than 12 month incase of normal crops including fish crop.
     

  • Interest @ savings bank rate to be provided in case of credit balance in cash credit A/c.
     

  • Notified crops financed should be insured. Premium to be paid by the bank for oral lesses borrower.
     

  • All the land holders are to be brought under the coverage of PAIS (Personal Accident Insurance Scheme) compulsorily premium for oral lessees to be paid by the Bank. Reduction in interest rate @ 0.25% for regular operation of the account.
     

  • Enhanced limit of consumption loan upto Rs. 2500/- per borrower.
     

  • Repayments of loans availed from informal souraces - with maximum of Rs. 5000/- limit per borrower.
     

  • Members of the SHG & joint liability groups can avail loan under the scheme.

7. United Sahaj Rin Yojana
(For North East states only)

  • To provide overdraft facility for pursuing any income generating activities in the Farm and non farm sector.
     

  • The scheme is meant for weaker section of the society under priority sector and to avail borrowing from private money lenders at very high rate of interest. Small traders like pan bidi vendors, vegetable/fish vendors, fruit vendors, newspaper hawkers, fast food stalls, phoochka stall etc. are under the purview of the scheme.
     

  • Any individual of 18-50 years of age group belonging to BPL list engaged with the activities like pan bidi vendors vegetable/fish vendors etc and residing in the vicinity of the branch preferably within 1 to 1.5 km from the Branch.
     

  • No defaulter loanee member is to be entertained.
     

  • This scheme is restricted under North Eastern States only.
     

  • This scheme is to be implemented to Rural, Semiurban urban & metropolitan branch.
     

  • No initial deposit is required for opening of O/D a/c.
     

  • No cheque book to be issued in the A/c. Only withdrawal slip allowed (affixing rubber stamp of "United Sahaj Rin Yojana").
     

  • The borrowers have to be provided with the Swarojgar Credit Card to enable them to withdraw cash for the O/D A/c by withdrawal slip.
     

  • No bank charge to be debited except by way of OD interest.
     

  • Personal accident insurance to be covered and premium to be paid by the bank.
     

  • Savings Bank interest rate to be given in case of credit balance in OD A/c.
     

  • Borrowers having existing loan from any financial institution/SHG/Micro Finance Institution/NGO etc. will not be eligible for loan under the scheme.

8. United Gramin Sahaj Credit Card (UGSCC)

To cover general credit needs for our customer in rural & semi urban areas and also to provide hastle free credit for any purpose to the customers based on assessment of income cash flow of the house hold.

  • Any individual house hold having regular income from salary,business,profession and any other economic activities (Farm & non farm activities) like agriculture, pisciculture, dairy, poultry, piggery, duckery,transport operating, crafts-manship, artisanship etc.
     

  • Women beneficiaries under the scheme is preferred very much.
     

  • No existing defaulter loanee members are under the perview of the scheme.
     

  • No margin
     

  • No processing charge
     

  • Savings Bank interest rate to be paid on credit balance in OD A/c.
     

  • Review of the A/c to be made half yearly in the 1st year and there after annually.

9. United Gramyashree Yojana

  • To provide un-interupted quick and hastle free credit with a view to appreciate and encourage good borrowers/depositors for different productive activities.
     

  • All the farmers in rural & semi-urban branches engaged in all kinds of Agricultural, allied and other activities like minor irrigation, Farm mechanization, horticulture and plantation, dairy, paultry, fishery, semiculture, bio-gas, high tech agriculture setting up agri business/agri-clinics, purchase of land for agricultural purposes are eligible for this scheme with good track record for the last 3 years.
     

  • Existing depositors maintaining an average balance of Rs. 25000/- or above for the last 3 years can apply for loan or recommend the loan proposals under the scheme as guarantor.
     

  • Upto Rs. 50000/- no margin required and also no margin for women family members.
     

  • Assets created out of loan are to be insured.
     

  • No processing & inspection charge are to be levied.
