MISSION CASA – An initiative to boost CASA
Considering the need of the hour, the mission
CASA has been launched for the period from 16th August to 30th
September ’07 to boost the growth in savings and current
deposits.
During this campaign period all out efforts are
to be made by all concerned to attract customers for savings and
current deposits. The facilities provided by the bank to this
segment of customers are to be focused and customer awareness is
to be developed.
It is worthy to be mentioned that a savings
bank customer is entitled to get the following benefits:

Facility for collection of instruments like
cheque, drafts etc.

The interest earned is exempted from Tax
Deducted at Source (TDS).

It facilitates transaction even beyond the
business hours (i.e. transfer transaction)
-
It provides the benefit of encashment of the
proceeds of term deposit beyond Rs.20,000/-.
-
It empowers the customer to introduce others.
-
It gives an entry and access to avail other
products from the bank/branch.
-
Savings bonanza facilities are available for
earning higher interest.
-
The customer is entitled for accidental
insurance coverage of Rs.1 lac with a premium of Rs.13/- only.
-
Overall, it ensures security, liquidity and
profitability to the customer.

Deposit Mobilization Drive
A deposit mobilization drive was launched starting 10th Nov-06 to 8th Dec-06 with a
mission to secure Rs.2,000 crores of fresh deposits. This shall not only help the Bank to
raise the deposit level , but shall also lead to acquisition of new customers with in our
fold.
Team UBI is full of confidence that after the successful accomplishment of mission one
million (opening of more than 10 lacs SB a/c with in 01 yr) in recent past, shall once
again rise to the occasion and achieve the goal.
To make the deposit products more customer friendly and market oriented, the rate of
interest on term deposits have been reviewed and is set to be the most preferred market
rate including that of senior citizens.
