United Bank reduces BPLR, by 25 basis points to 12.25% w.e.f 01st April 2009
Shri S.C.Gupta, CMD-UBI, addressed eminent industrialists of leading sectors as engineering, textiles, jute, tea, plastic household products, import & export during an Interactive session on “ Global Recession and its Impact on India” arranged by Calcutta Chamber of Commerce. Talking about the Global Recession, Shri Gupta mentioned that the problem is not of the inflation but of the demand. Moreover, it is the perception problem, and the buyers have to come out of this situation. He added that Public sector banks have played a major role in this regard and as a result the credit portfolio of most of the PSBs, including United Bank, have increased during current quarter, despite the situation of such recession.
After the Interactive session, in a sideline talk, Shri Gupta mentioned that United Bank of India has reduced Prime-lending Rate by 25 basis points to 12.25% w.e.f 01st April 2009. With this, the existing floating rate in all corporate and retail categories borrowers such as MSME, Agriculture, Retail Trade and other sectors, as well as potential borrowers will get the benefit of reduced rate of interest. He further added that the Bank has installed a dedicated Toll Free No. 1800 345 3344 for MSME customers, which provides instant solutions for any of their requirement.

Requires Part-Time Doctor

engagement in the Bank on contract basis. Initial contract will be
for a period of one year; renewable subject to satisfactory services
